Long time, no Blog!

Sorry, I've been busy with other stuff...a lot of non-stamping boring stuff.

BUT I was able to make 3 squash/explosion books this week. I still have to finish the covers so I'll post the photos later. They're quick and fun and it's quite an adventure trying to figure out which photos to crop on the diagonal. One is for me (shows both of my kids), one is for my girl (just photos of her) and one is for my niece (shows photos of her 2005 trip to Vancouver). So Riley if you're reading my blog - don't peek! It will be in the mail soon!

It was a big week for new stuff too with lots of packages arriving in the mail and via UPS.

I received a HUGE Stampin' Up! order just for me. Yessirree bob! I finally got the French Flair background stamp. I'm a sucker for background stamps and I was trying to be good but in the end the "devil" made me get this one too. Since I broke down and got the stamp I decided to order the Enchante paper - what the heck! I also got Sweet on You, Big Pieces and the Alphabet wheel (another one of my weaknesses - wheels!). I really only intended to restock on my 12x12 paper supply but it was last call for the Winter Mini and for SAB. Need I say more?

But wait that's not all - I got packages from Coolgear and Quietfire Designs this week as well.

Coolgear is an online "store" that sells a lot of sizzix and now cuttlebug stuff. Their prices are in USD but I find them very reasonable. The best thing for me is that they are local and so no duty, the shipping is minimal and the stuff comes the next day! I got the Ellison design BIG SHOT Multipurpose Platform (this lets me emboss on my Cuttlebug using brass embossing plates!), the Cuttlebug "Stamps" and "Tiny Tags" dies, "Playful Squares" and "Wedding" mini embossing folders. Now at my age there aren't too many wedding cards to make but we are heading into Wedding Season and the price was right! I'll use them for store classes and they won't go bad - who knows maybe some of my daughter's friends will marry young!

Quietfire Designs is another local online "store" with next day shipping as well. I ordered my Rubicoil binding machine from Quietfire last year. This time I ordered some bigger binding coils in black and clear for Coaster Calendar projects, some black mini brads, gold clipiolas and the cutest little spritzer bottles that are just the right size for my tool tote. I also got a teflon sheet for embossing and a bead mat.

Lots of goodies for me but unfortunately these will all have to wait until after the 2 week School March Break. I've got too much to do to prepare for our upcoming vacation. We're going to Arizona for 10 days and I still have a checklist of chores and errands to do before then.

Did I remember to hold mail? I better go check on that...

  1. WHAT fun you're going to have with all those goodies! I can't wait to try out the cuttlebug (ok, I have to BUY it first {LOL}). The explosion books are amazing too! Great little gift ideas! Have fun in Arizona! It's on our top 10 TO DO list :)
