More cards!

I have this "bird" stamp from Rubber Stampede.

I've had it for a while - I don't know why I bought it - but in my reorganization I found it and it's been sitting on my desk for a week now.

Staring at me with it's little beady birdy eyes....

I'm really lousy at identifying birds but this one's a cardinal - don't be so impressed - it says so right on the stamp!!

I couldn't just put it away so I inked it up some images on a scrap of white cardstock and punched it out with a Mega Circle punch.

Then I pulled out my COPICS (they now live on my desk in my marker holder) and my new 6x6 paper pack of Basic Grey FIGGY paper and these cards were "born".

I heat embossed the coloured piece with 2 coats of detail clear embossing powder for an enamelled look.

The scalloped circle is Chocolate Chip punched with the GIGA scalloped circle punch and the background is Cool Carribbean (retired 07 In Colour from SU!) embossed with the Cuttlebug Snowflake embossing folder. I learned how to emboss just the front of a card base from Cambria!

I really like the colour combo - I'd never have thought that this blue, dark brown and bright red would go together - but it works for me!

I liked it so much I made 2 cards - not sure whether I like the bird on the right or the left...
