I'm new to blogging...

It's seems everyone has a blog these days so I thought I'd try it out.

Lately I've been doing more organizing of my stamps, paper and accessories than stamping. Today I pulled everything out of my storage area and sorted, tossed and resorted. I had some of those IRIS carts that were in my son's room and so I decided to retrieve them from the garage and use them for my stamping stuff. I have to redo the labels - so some drawers are labelled LEGO, SPY STUFF and Army Men but I'll get to the re-labelling part after I'm happy with it.
I know this needs to be done but it's really just procrastinating...
I really should be working on getting my samples ready for my upcoming classes. I've got a Wednesday night class at the scrapbook store where I work - I'm doing a simple Valentine's Class - and I've got the first of 2 kids' Papercrafts class on Thursday.
I'll try and post some photos so you can see what I'm up to.

  1. Hat's off to you with all of your organizational skills..
My room is a work in progress.
One big job I am doing is cataloging all my stamps into a binder with a code, and then making a list to paste on the door of the cupboard they are stored into. I am also making a separate binder with words and phrases. A girl never knows what she has.

  2. I feel compelled to add one more scrapbook/stamping room tip. My room is very small, and lots of wall space above my paper raks was unused. My husband made me three peg boards using the long peg holders. This was a bit of an investment, but worth the cost.
Many of the supplies you purchase are already packaged to hang..Cuttlebug dies, brads, ribbon, scissors ect. I can readily see all my goodies. When too many things are stuffed into drawers I did not know what I had. The SU cello bags came in very handy, just made toppers and punched a hole to hang up those odds and ends. This was the best space saving expenditure I made for my little room. When I am scrapbooking and making cards, I am not overwhelmed to come up with ideas.
