Calling ALL Scrapbookers!

I have to admit that I'm not very good at scrapbooking - sure I can throw a few pictures together on a page and make it look decent - but I'm lacking in vision and quite honestly -motivation.

I've given up on scrapbooking my kids' baby years and for that matter - scrapping chronologically. I have albums upon albums of photos of baby pics (more of my first born than my second but that's another story) and I have done their newborn pages so I feel ok to let that guilt go.

What I HAVE decided to do is scrapbook what moves me at the moment and try and capture those feelings and memories.

You'd see what I mean if you ever saw my scrapbooks - I'm all over the place and nothing is chronological.

But that's me. I'll be working on something and then I'm off onto something else. We actually have a saying in our family and that is "ohhhh sparkly ball". We use it whenever anyone gets sidetracked from what they are supposed to be doing (especially me).

Speaking of which I'm supposed to be doing lots of other things right now but the purpose of this post is to inform you of something important. I'm getting to that....

So my personal scrapbooking challenge is just to get it done!

If you are looking for a challenge Canadian Scrapbooker has a call out for fall pages.

Go ahead and submit something, maybe we'll see your pages in an upcoming issue of Canadian Scrapbooker Magazine and we can say "I know her!".

Well we all kind of "know" each other electronically through blogs/websites/SCS etc...

  1. Marie, I know exactly what you mean about scrapbooking. I think that's why I gave up on it, because for one, I don't have kids myself, and to scrapbook my grammar school years chronologically would take FOREVER! LOL! So for now, I'm sticking with cards and small projects. Maybe someday I'll scrap a page on an inspiration until the next "sparkly ball"(love that!) distracts me.
