One down....

and only 4 more designs to go!

Here is my first design for the Favourite Background Stamp mountable card front swap. The card fronts are slightly smaller than usual (4 x 5 1/4) so that they can be mounted and made into full cards or left as is for display purposes.

This is a SU! Demo only swap so all the stamps, inks and paper used are SU!

I've used Basic Black and Very Vanilla card stock. I started off with a black mat and then stamped the On the Spot background stamp in black ink on a Very Vanilla layer. This card could be mounted on Very Vanilla quite nicely and made into a card!

I used Rivetting in Black ink on Very Vanilla paper as an accent. I punched out the centre first using the 1/2 circle punch and then I punched out the outside using the 1 1/4 circle punch. It's much easier to punch the smaller centre circle first and the larger one last!

I added a black card stock strip and stamped it with the Canvas background stamp in vanilla craft ink.

I know it's kind of simple but that's me - I'm into the simple look of cards and scrap pages these days.

What do you think?

  1. Love them all! I just missed this swap. I've never been to a regional before so I'm not sure how many cards to make, but am doing them in sets of 20. That way I don't get too bored with one design. How many are you making? Are you attending Friday or Saturday? If you email me your address, I'd be happy to send you the cards you like by mail if we don't get a chance to meet at the regional. I just got the circle of friendship set. Now I have idea of how to use it! Thanks
