Feeling Childish Swap Card

I'm participating in a swap - Alysabeth is the hostess with the mostest - and the theme is Feeling Childish.

The rules are simple, make a children's theme card using current Stampin' Up! materials. Sounds easy, right?
Well, as you may know my kids are teens, most of my recent stamp purchases are non Stampin' Up! and the majority of the ones that are "current" Stampin' Up! are definately not childish.

Luckily, I have a few sets that I could use - Wild About You, Zoofari, Fishy wheel - and some other sets that might be interpretted into a children's theme (well not really).

I joined this swap because I thought it would be a challenge and let me tell you it has.
The swap is due this Thursday and last week in a panic I emailed an SOS to Alysabeth. Being the creative person that she is, she gave me some suggestions - more like she challenged me - to use the Wild About You set and specifically the giraffe.

So this is what I came up with. It's not an original idea (the Noah's ark theme that is) by any means but I thought I could put my own stamp (pun intended) on it.

I know that there were more animals on Noah's ark but I'm late in getting these out and I had to cut out 24 of each animal - so 4 animals will have to be good enough!

Here's a close up side view (using the Macro setting on my camera).

I did a bit of cloud sponging on the white card stock, I dragged my vanilla craft pad across the Creamy Caramel ark and drew lines & nail heads with my black marker, some more sponging on the ark, and I used the slit punch to make the waves and sponged them too.

Here's a tip: For the "ark" shape I had to be a bit creative. I didn't have the right size coluzzle and couldn't use my GIGA circle punches on this one so I used a saucer from my kitchen cupboard to trace a circle. Then I cut it in half and added the "ark" details.
