I'm really cutting this one close - the swap is due November 12th and I've just mailed off my cards this morning. I'm sending them Expresspost so they should be to Jenny's by the end of this week! Let's keep our fingers crossed!!
Would you like to see the cards I made for this swap?
The first one is inspired by the card stylings of Kristina Werner at Kwerner Design Blog. It's not a CASE - I made this card up myself - but I LOVE the simplicity of Kristina's cards and that is the look I was going for. If you've never been to her blog YOU MUST GO NOW! Not only does she create the most amazing cards - she's obsessing with felt now - Kristina has put together some awesome video tutorials. She's headed for craft TV I'm sure!
TIP: Here's a closeup of the background - the paper is Real Red (SU!) and I stamped the Dotted Background stamp (SU!) in Real Red ink. I much prefer to do this than use Versamark for a watermark look. I find that the Versamark fades too quickly.
I'm so inspired by Kristina's work AND her photography!
Is there anyone who inspires you? If so, please share a link to their blog so we can all check them out.
The second card is an old standby for me. Yes - it's Lovely As A Tree. This is one of my "go to" Stampin' Up! sets. I'ved used it in an old familiar layout (I'm kind of stuck on having something - greeting/embellishment - in that lower right hand corner!).
I really like this colour combo - Chocolate Chip, Gold & Vanilla.
The ribbon is the new Taffeta Ribbon in Chocolate Chip from Stampin' Up! Isn't it pretty??? I got the same ribbon in Basic Gray - it's so elegant looking!
Now that I look at this card, I see that it's very close to my Sketch Challenge #8!!
you have been busy! I love all your new cards!
