Last 2 Valentine's Cards

So have you guessed the theme of my Valentine's Class?

If you guessed HEART then you are right!

Here are the last 2 cards for the class I'm teaching at SCRAPARTS in North Vancouver (I know you're smiling now Shelley!).

ETA 01/16/08 - I retook these photos with my digital camera and have uploaded them to replace the bad ones taken with my cell phone!

The first one is very simple & elegant. It uses French Vanilla coloured cardstock with a flourish background stamp embossed in Irridescent Ice. I cut a slit in the fold and added a length of wide ivory organdy ribbon and a small accent of ivory narrow satin ribbon. The heart is the scalloped heart punch (in gold) and then again in French Vanilla (I trimmed off the scallops). The edges of the vanilla heart are embossed as well and the My Love is stamped in Gold ink. I added a few of the adhesive pearls on the bottom right for balance.

This second one was inspired by Kristina Werner's January Card Class using Thickers. The card base is dark brown and the patterned paper is a dusty rose/coral colour with white. The heart is cut from white felt and the letters are cut out of white cardstock using the Cricut (Base Camp cartridge).
