Last Card for Christmas Card Camp

I struggled with this last card for my upcoming Christmas Card Camp at Scrap Arts.

Should I do a ribbon tree card like THIS ONE or a snow themed card?

The inspiration finally came to me from staring at my messy work table!

I had bits of this paper left over from the Big Shot Spinner card and decided to use up the scraps!

I had punched up extra of these Bazzills Bling (Glass Slipper?) snowflakes and decided to use it on this card and make it a snow themed card.

What you see hanging off the card is actually knitting fibre that I picked up over the winter for my kids knitting class!

Here's a close up of the greeting - I've done this before with THIS CARD and I really like the look of it.

It's a large oval punched out of vellum and then the smaller oval punched out of white with a greeting stamped on it.

I'm not sold on the greeting "merry christmas" but that's the trouble with having unmounted stamps and no image catalogue! I think I have a Happy Winter greeting that I'll have to dig out and then sustitute that for the final class sample and maybe change the ink to the blue.

What do you think?

  1. Lurve this card! the effect of that wool is fantastic against the snowflake, the simplicity and effectiveness work really well!

  2. I have just gone through a similar experience with unmounting stamps (not finished yet) and setting up a catalogue. I have printed my stamps sets 2 or 3 to a page (whichever fits - both sides of the page) (simply photocopied the sheets which come with the stamp sets)and I number each stamp set with my own peculiar system. I started with Stampin' up sets - for instance sets with all sayings I identify with the letter "A" (maybe for alphabet - I don't know) and then numerically - A-1, A-2, etc. Then all other Stampin' Up with "B-1, B-2 etc. Other sets such as Local King Road "KR-1, KR-2" etc. On the CD case top right hand corner I write the corresponding number to each set with a Sharpie permanent marker. Stack or store your CD cases with the numbers at the top. So - find your set in your catalogue, note the number and go to the CD cases. This may give you an idea.
