Like the saying implies this is a BIG card!
ETA 11/23 - Someone asked about the stamp - it's Kindred Spirits by Stampin' Up!
I needed a BIG card for a group gift - lots of signatures so lots of space required!
It's a smidge smaller than a 1/2 fold - 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 inches. I trimmed it a bit off to get it to fit into an envelope I already had.
This is a close up of some of the "special effects".
I used the Stampin' Up! In Color Pink Pirouette ink pad to ink the entire stamp and then went over the stems with Always Artichoke marker. I then HUFFED and stamped the image on the white paper. I did this several times - OSW style - on the white focal piece.
Once I'd completed all of the stamping I went over the Pink Pirouette "balls" with a swipe of Pretty in Pink marker for dimension.
I cut up the white stamped piece into 3 pieces and then afterwards applied Crystal Effects. Once that was dried I went over the area with a sponge inked in Certainly Celery ink.
The stamped layer is popped up and the ribbon runs behind it. I always cheat when it comes to ribbon because I am "bow challenged". This knot is a separate piece that was tied around the strip of ribbon underneath. I knotched out the focal piece so that the knot would lie "nicer" on the card.
Another close-up to show you my paper piercing - I did this by hand with a paper piercer and the Stampin' Up! Mat Pack. I'm so glad I bought this!
I have to tell you that this card was inspired by THIS ONE I made
which in turn was inspired by THIS ONE by Jan Tink.
Also this card's colour combo was inspired by THIS ONE made by Alysabeth Johnston.
Wow, that card is stunning! I love all the dimension and texture.
ReplyDeleteMarie, what stamp set or BG stamp you use for this card?
ReplyDeleteIt's very pretty. I love the way how you did the whole card.
