I tried to follow the sketch exactly but because of the card size I chose it wasn't working for me and so I had to make some adjustments.
This card is a big one - a half sheet of paper so it's 5 1/2 x 8 1/2. Every once in a while I'll make this size for group thank yous.
The card base is white, I used black for matting, and Daisy D's polka dot paper (red what else!) for the patterned paper strip at the bottom.
I stamped an Autumn Leaves Swirls image on some recycled plastic packaging for a flourish and then cut it out and adhered it.
I used the scalloped circle and nested circle for the red tulip part. But I have a tip for the scalloped border - see below!
- TIP: I have a Fiskars Rotary cutter that I don't use much anymore (I have a Stampin' Up! guillitine cutter now) so I replaced the blade with a scallop blade. Now I can make scalloped strips in a flash! Much much faster than using the scalloped border paper punch!
COPICS used: R05, R24, R29, R59 (buckets & tulips), G20 (white tulips), YG13, YG17 (leaves), T0, T3 (shadowing).
Beautiful! Tulips are my favorite.
