Today I had a few minutes (I was supposed to be doing laundry but needed a break!) and I came up with this card for Beate's Sketch Challenge for this weekend.
I knew I wanted to use Beautiful Beach stamp set by Stampin' Up! with Cool Carribean and Sahara Sand. I used the Scraptitude colour combo site to come up with some additional coordinating colours to use - it gave me Very Vanilla and Apricot Appeal.
I was going to add real cheesecloth under the layers for dimension but instead used the Cheesecloth background stamped in Very Vanilla craft ink and embossed with vanilla embossing powder.
The star fish is stamped on vanilla card stock using sahara sand ink and then cut out and pop-dotted.
I used the greeting "Have a beautiful day." because I really like the sound of it instead of the usual "Have a good day" - HAVE A BEAUTIFUL DAY! it really says something more doesn't it? Don't you just love that?
Anyway, I think it turned out simple and fresh looking!
Marie, you did a great card with Beate's sketch!
