Sorry no time to stamp!

Hello everyone in blogland!

It's been a while since I stamped so I've don't have anything new to share with you.

Today was eaten up with other stuff - mostly setting up my new cell phone. For the last 6 months or so I've had problems with my 2 year old cell phone - the battery would not hold a charge. I'd be on a call and then it would go dead without warning. I even bought one of those emergency AA battery cell phone batteries but it didn't help.

So yesterday I went to the Cell Store in the mall and asked the clerk what my options were. A new battery is $100 but I only have 10 months left on my contract. I usually get a new phone when I renew my contract. It didn't make much sense to me to spend the money on my old phone so she connected me with Telus Client Loyalty and after a few minutes on the phone with an agent (and lots of apologies) I was offered ANY phone in the store at NO CHARGE.

I chose a PALM TREO so that I can have my organizer/calendar and phone all in one. I've used a Palm Pilot for about 4 years now and quite like it.

Today I was on the phone with SHAW (who provides me with internet and email service) and Telus (who provides me with cell phone access) to set up all of the internet features (browsing and email).

Shaw couldn't really help me with the phone stuff except I did find out that I can download their Shaw Secure Internet Virus, Spy Sweeper and Parental Control program for FREE. I did and it works great for blocking stuff from the 14 year old! It even has an Internet Timer feature!!

I still have to set up all of my contacts on my cell phone but it will be much easier than the last time I changed cell phones. On this one I can type my contacts right onto my PC Palm Software and then sync it to my new Palm Treo.

But that will have to wait until later or tomorrow.

I've got another One Sheet Wonder class tonight at the scrapbooking store.

I won't have much time for stamping tomorrow either - the school supplies are arriving in my son's school. After 6 years of organizing school supplies I've been able to find someone else to do this job. So I'm not in charge of them anymore but I've offered to help out with the distribution.

This weekend I have a Father's Day card & gift class and 2 Lacrosse games (not me personally - my son plays).

I was hoping to get to do a SCS Sketch Challenge...

Sometimes it's just too difficult to carve out stamping time!

  1. Ohhh wow, glad it had a happy ending!!! I am a palm girl myself...I have the Life Drive. I almost bought the Treo last Spring but they had told me that I had to sign a $40 per month data pkg at the time...so as a stay home mom I really couldn't justify it & went for the life drive instead.

Have fun with your new phone!!!

    *hugs*
