My Cards for the New Catty Swap

These are the cards I'm adding to the Stampin' Up! New Catty swap that I'm hosting. I have to admit that they are kind of plain but I'm getting stuck in that "needs something more" rut that I get into and try to pass off as "simple" cards.

I made 46 of this first card. I used the bird image, greeting and small flower from the Always stamp set & the Stitched background stamp. Both of these were stamped in Chocolate Chip on Soft Sky card stock and accented with Chocolate Chip card stock and ribbon. A lot of the edges were distress and sponged. I freehand cut the soft sky layer for interest.

I made 12 of this next card using the Lighthouse image from A Light Unto My Path. I also used part of Curvy Verses "Time passes..." and for the background I used Canvas and Sanded. I stamped with Basic Grey ink on Very Vanilla and matted with Basic Grey. The ribbon is the new Basic Grey organza ribbon.
I know it's hard to see but I enamelled the lighthouse image with clear embossing powder to make it look like a photo.
This next one was very simple! I made 30 of these and just stamped and sponged with Coral ink the Riot of Petals background on Very Vanilla card stock. I matted on Certainly Celery card stock and accented with Celery Wide Grosgrain ribbon and ovals (both sizes) cut out of Vanilla and Coral paper. The "Fabulous" is a partial inking of a stamp set called Many Happy Returns all from Stampin' Up!

I only made 6 of this last card. I used the heart image from the Always stamp set, the "love" from Everyday Flexible Phrases and the new En Francais background stamp. I started with a Creamy Caramel base, added the Very Vanilla stamped in Creamy Caramel (the edges with sponged and distressed), then stamped and embossed in Gold the heart on Bravo Burgundy. The ribbon is the Chocolate Chip wide grosgrain and the greeting is stamped in Gold Brilliance Ink on a large word window punch out in the Bravo Burgundy.
It's kind of an odd colour combination (Caramel, Burgundy & Brown) so I wanted to show you a close up. It's actually quite elegant in real life.
Thanks for looking!
Do you think the ladies will like my cards? I hope so!
