Well here's one I did for Beate's Weekend Sketch Challenge #4. Here's the link to her blog posting and if you look at the comments you'll be able to bounce around and see everyone else's cards.
It's a bit late - she's already drawn a winner - but I thought I'd submit it anyway. If for no other reason that to prove that I can get another item off my To Do List.
I used paper BASIC GREY Queen Anne from the Lilykate line, with SU! Certainly Celery and Pretty in Pink cardstock.
I stamped some trees from SU! Lovely As A Tree with Chocolate Chip ink. I'm so lazy - this stamp set was out from one of my recent swaps - and it seemed to work with what I had in mind. I coloured it in with ink on my sponge wedges - yep I sure did. I then highlighted areas with my markers.
Here's a close up of the main image. I used Liquid Applique and markers to colour it in. I also stamped the pink scalloped layer with Wild Hearts, sponged the edges, and also dotted around the scallops.
The flowers are white primas that I sponged with Pretty in Pink, then I added liquid appique to the centres and then added pink, yellow and certainly celery ink with markers.
I think it turned out alright. What do you think?
Marie, I love your card. I love how you colored your image and added tree blossoms with the liquid Applique. Thanks for trying out the sketch. Hugs and smiles
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! It is fresh and beautiful. I love the colors and the way you displayed the little tree scene.
